Essay

The reason I chose to illustrate the chapter, "The Rabbit Sends in a Little Bill", was that I had the idea that I could illustrate a lot of pictures. At first I thought that I should make my Alice look a lot like the Disney Alice, but instead I chose to make my own Alice. I also chose to draw in markers because they're very colorful. Justin Todd's illustrations influenced me because they are very colorful too.

As part of our studies we went on a class trip to N.Y.U. to see a special Lewis Carroll exhibit there. It was cool because there were original books and even some in other languages.

Here were the stages involved in making this Website:

    1. Ms. Edinger read the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to us.

    2. We chose chapters (2 people to a chapter) to illustrate.

    3. We drew pictures of the text we selected.

    4. Ms. Feldman scanned our pictures into the computer.

    5. We were told to write an essay and annotate the text we chose.

    6. Ms. Gumport helped us put our essays on the site.

I think we should thank Ms. Feldman for scanning the pictures into the computer and Ms. Gumport for making this whole Website possible.
