Emily (Pages 61, 62, 63) Writes....

Of the many things that were wonderful about ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND , the works of all the different illustrators and writers who have tried to recreate and illustrate it have inspired me most. It is amazing how the same characters inspired many different illustrators to draw them in so many different styles. When I finally got to see the Alices of the kids in my class, it showed me how they were thinking and seeing Alice while they were reading the story. The characters influenced me and my class the same way that they had influenced many illustrators from around the world.

I also respect all of the writers who have tried to re-write ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND to make it more modern or easier to read. Anyone who loves a story enough to make sure their children and children's children can read and love it deserves respect for the effort they make.
