Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Hi, my name is Sylvie and I am a fourth grade student at the Dalton School. I am 10 years old. In class, we read a book called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I really liked reading the book because it was interesting to read fiction based on a girl who really once existed. I also liked having my teacher read to me. She read a chapter a day out-loud to my class. After we read the book my teacher made up a list of all the illustrators who had created illustrations for Alice's many adventures in Wonderland. At the same time that we were studying Alice books we also watched videos. The whole class went to the NYU library. At the end of our studies we are going to have a tea party. Iím looking forward to that!
As part of our study we did a project. We were each assigned a chapter in the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I was assigned Chapter 11 with my friend Sarah. When I was drawing my pictures I was really not influenced by any one I was really going all by myself. I used crayons and a little marker. My Alice was not supposed to look like any of the other Alice's that any of the other illustrators had ever drone before.
In the beginning when I was doing this project I really did not care for it that much but as we started doing more things with Alice like illustrating I started to really like the book and the projects we were doing.
Ever since I started Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with my class I really know more then I ever had before.
The End
