My illustrations are 21, 22, 24

I am Michael of the 4thgrade at the Dalton School.  I'm
ten years old, my class and I read the book Alice in Wonder
land by Lewis Caroll.  A few of us had read the book, but never
this closely. I learned things and jokes that I never knew.  We
also looked at all the different illustrator's of Alice in
Wonderland and talked about how each one was alike or not
alike.  Or how each one looked on the page, that was a lot of
fun. For our Web page each child  and Ms. Edinger drew about 3-9 pictures per chapter.

First we chose a chapter to illustrate.  I chose The Rabbit sends in a little Bill, probably because I wanted to draw a picture of Bill in the air after getting kicked out of the chimney.  For that picture I used
colored pencil.

While we were doing this we also watched a movie
about the real Alice, called Dreamchild.  We also went to the
NYU rare book collection and saw a lot of the things from
when Alice in Wonderland was first printed.  We did a lot of
learning about Alice and Lewis Caroll.

After our study of Alice in Wonderland we will have our very own tea party! I hope you enjoyed our site.
