I am a student at the Dalton School.  My name is Maggie.  We all read as a class Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.  Every day we read a chapter and we all got books with different illustrators and we showed the class all the different illustrations.

We went on some special trips and did some special things in our classroom.  We went to N.Y.U. to see some original drawings, books, drafts,etc. . . .  We watched some movies in our classroom and we had a tea party.  The tea party we had was like the one in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.  We had cakes and tea, wonderful decorations and watched the Disney movie.
 

I did the chapter Lobster Quadrille because my first choice was taken and my second choice was the Lobster Quadrille. When I drew my pictures I used color pencil because it is lighter than marker.  When I decided what to illustrate I looked through the page to see what I thought I could illustrate and that I liked.  I did not copy any of the illustrators.  I only thought in my head.

I think the project was very fun and I liked reading the book a lot.  My favorite part was the tea party.  I hope you enjoy our site.
