Hi! My name is Lauren. I am a 4th grader at The Dalton School. Our class is studying Alice in Wonderland. Our teacher read it to us and we read along in all different books and at the end we showed pictures. My favorite illustrator was Anthony Browne. I liked his bright colors.
Our class went to the NYU library to look at all the Alice stuff. They had a lot of interesting things. We are going to have an Alice Tea Party. We also learned about Lewis Carroll. We watched a movie called Dream Child. It was about Alice and Lewis Carroll.
My chapter is Alice’s Evidence. I wanted the last chapter because I wanted to draw the picture of Alice and the cards falling on her which were really leaves. I think I did that picture like Justin Todd and Anthony Browne. I did not really know what I wanted to illustrate but I read my pages over and I thought of something. I used colored pencils.
I really liked this project.
It was one of my favorite activities.
