Hi, my name is Brent. I'm in the 4th grade at The Dalton School.
I liked the book Alice In Wonderland because it had a good descriptions and sometimes seemed to go on forever, which either made the book funny or annoying. The book was interesting because they were talking about nonsense, which sometimes seemed stupid, but also amusing at the same time.
My favorite illustrator was John Tennial, who was the second artist to illustrate Alice. He did light drawings that were very detailed and he even tackled difficult scenes.
Our class took a trip to New York University Library to see a collection of valuable Alice things. We saw Lewis Caroll's watch, the first Alice inWonderland which was called Alice's Adventures Underground, and other really, really old things. We were the first class from Dalton to visit the rare book library.
This year our class is going to have a tea party. It won't be like the Mad Tea Party but we will have tea, scones, comfits, muffins, crackers, and other things. Our tea party will be on the 23rd of February. It is going to be a lot of fun.
I picked the Queen's Croquet Ground because the author's description was so good that I had a picture in my mind immediately.
I first sketched with a black pencil and then colored it in with colored pencils.
I really like the Alice Project
because it was fun!!!
