Alice Essay

Hi my name is Amelia. I am in 4th grade at the Dalton School.  My class has been studying Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and we were told to illustrate a chapter in the book.

During the year we've done plenty of Alice things. Here are some:
     We studied the illustrators.
     We went on a trip to the NYU library.
     We watched the movie Dream Child.
     And we had a tea party.

I illustrated the chapter The Mock Turtle's Story, I did the pages 50, 51, and 54. I chose that chapter because I really wanted to draw a colorful picture like the Griffin or Mock Turtle. Tenniel inspired me a lot (e.g. my Duchess looks like his except modern hair.)

I really enjoyed this study, I liked the book and I want to read Through the Looking-Glass.
