WEAPONRY
The Assyrians used a variety of both missle and shock weapons. Missle weapons were designed to be hurled at the enemy while shock weapons were used in hand to hand combat. The Assyrians recognized the importance of providing their forces with both types of weapons in order to achieve maximum offensive capability.
