HEROES
The bomb threats
made me feel very uncomfortable in school because I was afraid that there really
was a bomb that would blow up any second. I know it isn’t there because
the person probably wouldn’t tell us if there really were a bomb. The reason
why is if they wanted to hurt us they probably wouldn’t warn us. With the
World Trade Center, the terrorists didn’t warn us about what was going
to happen. If they had, there might be fewer people that were killed. The reason
why is because then the people on the streets and inside the towers might have
had a head start on getting out and they could start running away from the buildings
faster.
I feel that Charlotte
and Fern are heroes in Charlotte’s Web because if it weren’t for Fern
Wilbur wouldn’t be alive and he would not have met Charlotte at all. Fern
saved him by trying to get her father not to kill him. She told her father that
it was the worst case of injustice that she had ever heard. Fern asked if she
were very small would he have killed her. She also said that she didn’t
see any difference between herself and Wilbur. I also feel that Charlotte is
a hero because if it weren’t for her then Mr. Zuckerman would have killed
Wilbur by the winter. By writing words into her web, Charlotte was able to keep
Mr. Zuckerman from killing Wilbur. The words that she wrote were "Some
Pig", "Terrific", "Radiant", and "Humble".
It seems to me that Charlotte had risked her life for Wilbur. She kept telling
Templeton to go to the dump and find scraps of writing so that she could weave
it into her web to save Wilbur from Zuckerman.
A hero is a person
that does a really great thing like helping you to get out of burning building.
That person who helped you probably would be your hero. They are also mostly
very kind people who are your heroes. Some of my heroes are the firemen who
helped the people that were in the World Trade Center and who tried to put out
the fire that was smoldering where the plane had just hit. The policemen and
women are also my heroes. They helped people to get out of the building and
helped find people in the now crumpled building.
