A hero has to have many different qualities. A hero has to be brave. Being brave is doing something dangerous not to show off but to help others. Heroes like firefighters, sometimes die to save other people. A hero has to be loyal and stay with who ever they’re with and not lie. A person who has these qualities is a hero.

The heroes today are the firefighters, the people that worked in the WTC, and the people that donated blood. The reason the firefighters are heroes is because they went into the WTC while it was on fire. The people in the WTC are heroes because they helped each other. The people who donated anything such as blood are heroes because they made life easier for other people. Because of these people more than half the people lived through the WTC. But even if more than half of the people got out alive it is still very sad.

In the book Charlotte’s Web there are many heroes. The heroes are the goose, Templeton the rat, Fern and Charlotte. In the book the goose laid some eggs but one egg was rotten. Templeton wanted to save the egg but the other animals would have thrown it out. Later a boy named Avery tried to capture Charlotte but he stepped on the egg. The smell was so bad that it chased Avery away. This helped Wilbur. Wilbur the pig was going to die but Fern told her father not to kill Wilber. She believed Wilbur should live even though he was a runt. Then when Fern sold Wilbur to Mr. Zuckerman, Mr. Zuckerman wanted to eat him. So Charlotte made a web that said good things about Wilbur. This made Mr. Zuckerman, and Wilbur famous. In the end Charlotte died but before she died she laid her eggs. Then Wilbur took care of the eggs. Therefore he is also a hero. There are many heroes in books and in life.
