The Rabbit Sends in a Little Bill

Plate 1
White Rabbit comes by.
White Rabbit—The Duchess! Oh my dear paws! She’ll have me executed!
(notices Alice) Why, Mary Ann, run home this moment and fetch me a pair
of gloves and a fan!
Alice runs off, and comes upon a little house with W. Rabbit on it.
Scene 2 Plate 2
She walks in, and soon finds gloves and fan, but also sees Sierra Mist
bottle.
Alice-I know something interesting is going to happen when I drink this.
(Drains bottle)
Alice starts growing larger, and soon has to put one arm out window and
one foot up chimney.
W.Rabbit comes along, tries to open door, Alice’s elbow blocks door,
WR-Then I’ll try the window
goes to window,
Alice-That you won’t,
tries to snatch WR, WR jumps back,
WR-Pat! Where are you?
Pat-Sure then I’m here, yer honour.
WR: Here! Now tell me, what’s that in the window?
Pat-Sure it’s an arrum, yer hounour.
WR-You idiot, Who ever saw one that size? It fills the window!
Pat-Sure does, yer honour, but it’s an arrum for all that.
WR-Take it away!
Sounds of broken glass, more broken glass,
Pat-Where’s the other ladder!
WR-Bill’s got the other.
Pat-Bill! Fetch it here lad! Here, put em in this corner.
Sounds of crashing(as ladder is set up)
Bill goes up ladder, makes loose slate drop.
Pat-I guess we’ll have to go down the chimney, then? Who will do it.
WR-Bill, you do it!
Alice-Oh! So Bill’s got to come down the chimney, has he?
I think I can kick a little!
Bill goes down chimney
Alice-This is Bill!
Alice kicks and Bill goes flying
Everyone-There goes Bill
Pat-How was it, old fellow? Tell us all about it.
Bill-All I know is that something comes at me like a jack-in-the box, and up I goes like a skyrocket.
WR-We must burn the house down!
Alice-If you do, I’ll set Dinah at you.
(Everybody throws pebbles through windows.)
Scene 4 Plate 2
Pebbles turn into cakes
Alice-If I eat one of these cakes, it’s sure to make some change in my size.
Eats cake, grows small,
Scene 5 Plate 1
Alice runs out of house, sees Bill being taken away in stretcher by two guinea pigs, all chase her, Bill falls into (trapdoor)
Alice escapes into forest.
