| Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is
a very good book and movie. My class studied and read this book. After
that we adapted the story to make a script for our toy theater production.
We each chose chapters and had a partner to do the toy theater production
with. Ms. Edinger my teacher taped us on the video camera so we could put
our toy theater production on the web. We also had dress rehearsals so
we could practice while we were seeing everyone else’s. We then had a tea
party to end our study.
Mr. Dodgeson, otherwise known as Lewis Carroll, wrote Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. He also illustrated the very first version of the book for Alice herself. Others have also illustrated it such as John Tenniel. It was published in 1866. This project has been a project I really liked and I really liked how this story was about a real person. It was a lot of fun! Jessica

My name is Alexa and I am a fourth grade student
at the Dalton School.
This year in fourth grade we studied Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. We read the book as a class and studied the people that illustrated it. I liked the book a lot. My favorite illustrators are Anthony Browne and those who did the Disney movie. Ms. Edinger, my teacher, assigned us partners of two or three, and gave each group a chapter from the book. With the chapter my partner and I made a toy theater production. We did Chapter 3, "The Rabbit Sends in a Little Bill". Over all I really liked the Alice study.
