I congratulate you on your web site. It was well researched and well presented. I am grateful to you all, for the time and effort you all put into this project. I am glad that young people, such as your selves take an interest in others and care enough to raise money for them. I am British but my parents were born in Sierra Leone, from them and I'm sure from many in Sierra Leone, thank You!
Dear Students:
I am a Sierra Leonean. I want to thank you for your interest in the plight of
Sierra Leoneans.

I want to especially thank your teacher for training you at this early age to
care for others who are less fortunate than you are.

Sierra Leone is a beautiful country and so are its people. Your teacher, I
know enjoyed her stay there. The Peace Corp has a special place in my heart
because I was taught by some of the finest ones the very first year when the
program was born.

Please contact me and let us build a fruitful relationship.

God bless you and your teacher.

My love to all of you and families,
George Sankoh.

As a Sierra Leonean, I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all for the
wonderful work you are doing to raising awareness about the senseless war in
Sierra Leone.  I am indeed very move by your work.  Keep it up!

Dear Padi dehm,

I was in tears reading your web page.  I just found out about it in the
FoSL newsletter.  Ms. Edinger, you truly did an amazing thing with your
students.  I am a teacher too, but am at home with a little pikin right
now.  You made me want to get back in the classroom so very badly.  You
touched your students so deeply--it shows in the work they did on this
project--and they will never forget what you taught them about not only
Sierra Leone, but also that change is something that we all can help
happen, that we can truly make a difference.  I still wonder what it
will take for Sierra Leone to heal from the horrible wounds she has
faced and still faces.  If there is true peace, it will be the most
powerful transformation and experience of forgiveness that the world has
ever known.  Thank you for your inspiration and showing how much of a
difference teaching can make, and what incredible generosity, perception
and kindness children are capable of.

Sincerely,

Shannan Johnson
