I remember a bright blue sky, the first day of school. 19 ladybugs on 19 desks for good luck.

I remember that we were excited for the beginning, but after about an hour some of the kids were picked up. After a while they told us there had been an accident. For a while we didn't know what it was.

I remember at about 10 AM my mom picked me up. The teacher who didn't want to scare us said, "Oh, there has been a little accident." I remember my mom in tears saying, "The bombed the twin towers and the Pentagon." That was the truth. I will remember that day for the rest of my life.
