What is BookMyne? It is a free app from SirsiDynix*, that lets you search the library catalog, review your account, renew materials and check holds from almost anywhere!  It is compatible with Android, iPhone and iPod Touch devices. (Requires iOS 3.0 or later). If you're using an iPad, click the 2X button to enlarge the app to the full size of the device.

To use BookMyne just follow these steps:
  1. Download BookMyne from the (app store) and install it.
  2. When you first launch BookMyne you will see a welcome screen. Follow the instructions to find your library. Your iPhone/iPad GPS will automatically locate participating libraries including Dalton libraries.

  3. If you first launch BookMyne from school you should get a list similar to the one below. If your away from school and you don't see the Dalton Libraries listed use the slider to increase the distance until it appears in the list or you can browse by location, map, or search by library name. Once you see Dalton School Libraries tap on the plus sign on the right to make it a yellow star. This will make the Dalton Libraries catalog your current favorite for searching.

  4. Tap the "back" button at the top and this will take you to the catalog. You can use the drop-down menu to search by keyword, title, author, subject or isbn barcode. *Note* - You will need to scan the publishers barcode not the Dalton libraries barcode!

  5. To save items to a list tap the bubble to the left of the item to place a check in it.

  6. Tap the "actions menu" icon at the top right. From here you can save your selections to "my lists" and/or email your selections. To save selections to your list you must be logged into your account. To email selections simply tap the email icon and enter an email address.
    (*Note* - The "Place hold" option is NOT available through BookMyne! If you wish to place a hold on an item please come to the library.)

  7. To login to your account tap "My Account" at the bottom of the screen. You will then be prompted to "Login to my account". Type in your user ID and PIN. *Note* - If you have forgotten your ID/PIN please contact a librarian/staff member.

  8. Once logged into your account you can view your checkouts, renew items, view holds and view your personal information.
