The concept of the Original Minds Project is an open-ended and flexible collaboration between an individual who has made a unique contribution to his/her field and the members of the Dalton community. We have great hopes that our fluid model can accommodate creative thinkers in a variety of fields while supporting and inspiring our faculty's efforts to develop innovative curricula for Dalton students, present and future. Sarah Sze Dalton is pleased to welcome Sarah Sze as the first participant in the Original Minds Project. She has established her career by creating a unique expression constructed from everyday materials - composing three-dimensional tapestries within specific architectural environments. Ms. Sze invigorates her working method with a creativity that produces art both magical and mysterious, and members of the Dalton community, varying greatly in age and interest, have found her work quite engaging. Sarah’s participation this year will entice the youngest and excite even the most experienced among us. |
